MyResourcer are proud to announce that we will be taking part in the UK Recruiter Recruitment Technology Showcase Event, taking place in central London, on 24th May. http://recnet24may.eventbrite.co.uk/

Bradley Placks, CEO, MyResourcer said, “We’ll be doing live demonstrations and this will be the first chance for recruiters to see the latest version of MyResourcer. We’re constantly updating our system to find new ways to help recruiters to work smarter and make more placements. MyResourcer now includes brand new features such as the LinkedIn integration, which have not yet been unveiled.”

This free event is a being run by the Recruiters Network for recruitment decision makers who wish to learn about innovative technologies in the recruitment market and/or are looking to change or purchase a new CRM system in the next 6-8 months.

During the afternoon attendees will have the chance to view short small group demonstrations from technology providers as well as sit in on presentations from innovative technology providers.

No Job Too Niche

This year we’ve seen a sharp increase in niche recruitment agencies taking up MyResourcer. So we started to wonder if our vacancy lead generation product could be used to find ANY job, no matter how obscure, weird or funny the job title.

In the next few weeks we’ll explore some of the weird and wonderful real jobs that are out there, starting this week with some familiar jobs which have been given new names.

  • Slug Catcher Expert – If this job conjures up images of men in wellies chasing after slippery bodies you wouldn’t be far off. Penspen are currently looking for a Slug Catcher Expert or more simply someone with oil pipe engineering expertise.
  • Google Doodler – On certain notable calendar days Google change their logo to interesting pictures, games and puzzles with my own favourite was the Pac Man Google Doodle. Google are currently looking for a new Google Doodler.
  • Director of First Impressions – Airkix are currently looking for someone to be the face of their company, attending to the needs of customers and making sure that their experience with Airkix starts off on the right foot. That’s right; they’re hiring a customer service representative.
  • Kick Ass Ninja Warrior – I’m not saying that tech jobs are boring, but whilst researching job titles for this piece it became clear to me that HR Managers invariably feel the need to vamp up the names of IT roles. This creative title is actually for an engine programmer for a gaming company.
  • Agile Evangelist / Scrum Master – Hallelujah! Yell Group is looking for a project manager to plan and execute the successful delivery of projects.

MyResourcer are proud to announce that we have been nominated for the 2012 OnRec Technical Innovation Award!

Bradley Placks, Founder and CEO, comments “We have invested heavily in technology to create a vacancy lead generation product for the busy recruiter and we are pleased that our efforts are being recognised by the industry.”

Our technical team have been researching and developing our award-winning vacancy lead generation system since 2008. The response from the industry since we launched the software in 2010 has been outstanding.

We took our recruitment solution to the next level when we shifted over to Version 3 of MyResourcer in 2011. Our original solution allowed recruiters to identify  new vacancies from the data on their existing database, however the evolution of Data+ and Board+ now allow recruitment companies to monitor half a million UK company career pages in addition to the key job boards to find relevant vacancies from direct employers that are not already on their client or prospect database.

Version 3 also introduced users to the Geographical Search function, which gives recruiters even greater control over their searches. Using geographical searching, recruiters can target vacancies that would suit specific location requirements of their existing candidates in order to offer them more opportunities.  MyResourcer monitors each and every uploaded site and alerts the recruiter as and when career pages are updated with new vacancies. For recruiters having to manage a large number of clients, this not only simplifies the entire business development process, but frees up time cold calling.

Recruiters Pop in for Popcorn at the Recruitment Agency Expo

MyResourcer spent Valentine’s Day at the excellent Recruitment Agency Expo, held at the Olympia Conference & Exhibition Centre. The seminar programme covered everything from compliance to funding and social media with great talks from the likes of APSCo and Bill Boorman and provided great tips for recruiters, which we think will be useful for us as well.

We shared our stand with our friends at Bullhorn, with whom MyResourcer have an integrated platform for Bullhorn users. Delegates were lured to our stand with the sweet smell of fresh popcorn from our popcorn machine and so our stand was buzzing from the moment the doors opened.
